চলতি অর্থ বছরে আরেক দফা বেসরকারি শিক্ষা প্রতিষ্ঠান এমপিওভুক্ত করা হবে। এর আগে ‘বেসরকারি শিক্ষা প্রতিষ্ঠানের জনবল কাঠামো ও এমপিও নীতিমালা-২০১৮’ সংশোধন করা হবে।
শিক্ষা মন্ত্রণালয় সম্পর্কিত সংসদীয় স্থায়ী কমিটির বৈঠকে এ তথ্য জানানো হয়েছে। কমিটির পক্ষ থেকে নীতিমালা সংশোধনের কাজ দ্রুত শেষ করার তাগিদ দেওয়া হয়েছে।
আজ রবিবার বিকেলে জাতীয় সংসদ ভবনে অনুষ্ঠিত ওই বৈঠকে সভাপতিত্ব করেন কমিটির সভাপতি ডা. মো. আফছারুল আমীন। বৈঠকে কমিটির সদস্য শিক্ষা উপমন্ত্রী মহিবুল হাসান চৌধুরী, মো. আব্দুল কুদ্দুস, ফজলে হোসেন বাদশা, মো. আবদুস সোবহান মিয়া ও মাহী বদরুদ্দোজা চৌধুরী এবং সংশ্লিষ্ট কর্মকর্তারা উপস্থিত ছিলেন।

বৈঠকে জানানো হয়, ২০১৯-২০২০ অর্থ বছরে স্বীকৃতিপ্রাপ্ত নতুন শিক্ষা প্রতিষ্ঠান এমপিওভুক্তির লক্ষ্যে অর্থ বিভাগ হতে ৮৬৫ কোটি টাকা বরাদ্দ পাওয়া গেছে। চলতি অর্থ বছরে এ পর্যন্ত এক হাজার ৬৫৮টি শিক্ষা প্রতিষ্ঠানকে এমপিওভুক্ত করা হয়েছে। এ বাবদ বার্ষিক ব্যয় প্রায় ৪৫৬ কোটি ৩২ লক্ষ ১৮ হাজার টাকা। উক্ত ব্যয়ের পর আরও প্রায় ৪০৮ কোটি ৬৭ লক্ষ ৮১ হাজার টাকা অবশিষ্ট থাকবে। এ অবশিষ্ট অর্থ দিয়ে সংশোধিত নীতিমালার আলোকে যাচাই-বাছাই করে চলতি অর্থ বছরে আরও কিছু শিক্ষা প্রতিষ্ঠানকে এমপিওভুক্ত করা সম্ভব হবে।
কমিটি সূত্র জানায়, বিষয়টি নিয়ে আলোচনা শেষে বেসরকারি শিক্ষা প্রতিষ্ঠান এমপিও নীতিমালা সংশোধনে স্থায়ী কমিটির সদস্যবৃন্দের মতামত ও সুপারিশ অন্তর্ভুক্তির সুপারিশ করা হয়। সংশোধিত নীতিমালার আলোকে সর্বোচ্চ সংখ্যক শিক্ষা প্রতিষ্ঠান এমপিওভুক্ত করার নির্দেশনা দেওয়া হয়।

It was informed at the meeting that an amount of Tk 865 crore has allocated from the finance department for the purpose of joining the new educational institution MPO. Which is recognized in the financial year 2019-20. So far, 1,658 educational institutions have made MPOs so far this year. The annual expenditure of this year is about Tk. 456 crore and 32 lakhs and 18 thousands. After this expenditure there will be around Tk. 408 crore 67 lakhs. With the rest of the money, it will be possible to scrutinize some more educational institutions in the current fiscal year by scrutinizing the revised policies.
The committee sources said that after discussing the matter, it was recommended to include the views. And recommendations of the members of the Standing Committee on amendment of the MPO policy of the private educational institute. In the light of the revised policy, the maximum number of educational institutions MPOs is directed.
